HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – WFSB Eyewitness News sports anchor Dan Booth is packing his bags and heading south to Philadelphia, where the UConn men’s basketball team tips off NCAA Tournament play this Friday night.
The Huskies, who finished the regular season at an impressive 29-5, earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA East Region and will face No. 15 seed Furman at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Friday, March 20 at 10:00 PM on TBS.
Dan will be live throughout the week with reports streaming on WFSB+ and during newscasts on Eyewitness News on Channel 3 and The WAX. He’ll have the sights, the sounds, and the storylines as UConn Nation descends on the City of Brotherly Love.
And yes, he’s already got two things on his Philadelphia bucket list: a proper cheesesteak and a run up the famous Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Sports reporter Dan Booth heads to Philadelphia for UConn men’s tournament coverage.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. If the Huskies advance through Philadelphia, the road leads to the East Regional in Washington, D.C., and potentially the Final Four in Indianapolis on April 4. UConn has made six straight NCAA Tournaments, and this group has the talent and the drive to make another deep run.
Follow along with Dan all week on WFSB+, Channel 3 Eyewitness News, and The WAX. Don’t miss a moment of UConn’s road to the Final Four.
