CUMRU TWP., Pa. – Police say two people were found dead at a home in Cumru Township, Berks County Tuesday night.
Officers from the Cumru Township Police Department were sent to a home located at the 500 block of Church Road to conduct a welfare check at the request of the homeowner’s family Tuesday, according to a news release from township police.
Authorities found that both residents of the home were dead, township police said.
Cumru Township Police Detectives along with the Berks County Districts Attorneys Forensic Services Unit were requested and responded to the home to begin the comprehensive investigation, according to the news release.
At this time, township police say there is no indication of a threat to the community, and law enforcement is not seeking any suspects.
An investigation into the cause and manner of death remains ongoing.
