READING, Pa. – Albright College has been without power since Monday evening after the windstorm knocked down multiple poles and lines, according to Will Martinko, the school’s Director of Marketing and Communications.
Martinko tells 69 News the college is relying on updates from the electric company, which has estimated that power should be restored by 11 p.m. Wednesday.
He shared the following statement about how the campus community has handled the outage:
“Albright students have made the most of a challenging situation. They have come together to share meals and lean into a stronger sense of community. Throughout it all, our staff has been here around the clock to support them, and we are grateful for the creative meals our culinary team served. What could have been a disruption has instead become a powerful reminder of the resilience, connection, and spirit that define Albright.”
College officials say they remain in contact with the electric company as restoration efforts continue.
