Law-enforcement officers arrested a Scranton woman in possession of $17,000 worth of crack cocaine, according to Lackawanna County District Attorney Brian Gallagher.
Denise Raymond, 25, faces multiple felony charges, including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance.
The arrest follows a search of Raymond’s Townhouse Boulevard residence Wednesday morning by officers from the district attorney’s office and the Pennsylvania State Police Troop R Vice Unit.
During the search, investigators seized approximately 179 grams of crack cocaine, 20 grams of marijuana and $530 in cash, alleged to be proceeds from drug sales.
The street value of the seized narcotics is estimated at $17,000, Gallagher said.
Raymond was arraigned before District Judge Paul Ware and remanded to the Lackawanna County Prison pending a preliminary hearing.
The investigation is ongoing, he said.
