SHILLINGTON, Pa. – Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations are in full swing in Berks County.
The party started early at Flanagan’s Pub in Shillington.
“We’ve been drinking whiskey for breakfast,” patrons of pub in sing.
There’s live music, and lots of green clothes, green decorations and green drinks.
The celebration at most bars in Berks County started this past weekend.
The day commemorates the life and legacy of Saint Patrick, who shaped the religion and culture of Ireland.
For centuries it was a spiritual observation.
