OBITUARY
Lenore Johnson, 69, of Archbald, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Regional Hospital in Scranton.
She was the beloved lifelong partner of Gerald W. Hosie, with whom she shared 40 cherished years together.
Born in Taylor, PA, on October 18, 1956, Lenore was a daughter of the late James and Celia (Boyko) Johnson.
Lenore embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm. She adored her family above all and took particular delight in Face Timing her new grandson, Luca, whose smiles brought her endless joy.
While attending Marywood University she discovered a particular passion with meteorology, enjoying weather patterns which is an interest she shared with her children. Lenore also found great happiness in gardening and caring for animals, nurturing both her plants and the creatures around her with the same gentle spirit she extended to everyone she knew.
She was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path, radiating kindness, positivity, and unwavering love.
Lenore is survived by her two sons: Robert Johnson and his fiance, Amy Gallagher, of Archbald; and Gerald J. Hosie and his wife, Abigail, of Charleston, SC.
She is also survived by three sisters: Darlene Hall of Moscow, Bonnie Lewis of Dillwyn, VA, and Judy Johnson of West Scranton; one brother, Lee Johnson of Pittsburgh; her grandson, Luca Hosie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Johnson, and her parents.
Lenore’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, through the love she shared and the quiet strength she embodied.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 on Saturday, March 21st, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Archbald, PA.
Viewing will be held 8:30 to 9:30 on Saturday, March 21st, at Harrison Funeral Home, 374 N. Main St., Archbald, PA.
Interment St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, PA.
