CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A fallen Pennsylvania trooper will always be near his daughter.
Cpl. Timothy O’Connor Jr. was killed during a traffic stop on Sunday, March 8, in Chester County, just a few miles from the Lancaster County line. His family laid him to rest Wednesday during a private funeral.

As memorials pour in, a beary special one will keep his memory alive. The Parkesburg Borough Police Department said Heather Smith, the wife of one of its captains, stitched together “Timmy-Bear” from O’Connor’s old uniform and gifted it to his daughter.

O’Connor, 40, was the 105th member of the Pennsylvania State Police to die in the line of duty. He also leaves behind a wife.

He enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in September 2010 as a member of the 131st cadet class. O’Connor was promoted to corporal in July 2022 at the Embreeville Station, where he was a member of the patrol unit.
Gov. Josh Shapiro ordered all United States and Commonwealth flags to fly at half-staff a day after his death.
