This performance is an intersection of music and history, guided by the voice and vision of legendary actor Morgan Freeman. The program will examine the roots of the Mississippi Delta Blues with the power of this essential American genre being played by an orchestra.

The performance may or may not have the Academy Award-winning actor in attendance, but regardless, the audience will get to learn the rich story of the blues with deeply felt music along the way. The show will be held at Heinz Hall in Downtown Pittsburgh at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Get your tickets at pittsburghsymphony.org.

Bert Kreischer

Kreischer has released six comedy specials since 2009, all with either Showtime or Netflix. He hosts several podcasts, including co-hosting the widely popular “2 Bears, 1 Cave” with fellow stand up Tom Segura.
