PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Gymnastics East Conference office announced the All-GEC First and Second Teams today, with the University of Pennsylvania earning 21 selections among 12 individual gymnasts.
The First Team consists of Jordan Barrow (vault, bars, beam), Manama Fofana (vault, beam, floor), Maggie Murphy (vault, beam), Ananya Patanakul (vault), Luci Toczydlowski (bars), Sophia Paris (bars), Ruth Whaley (beam), Alisha Werlen (beam), and Mimi Fletcher (beam).
The Second Team includes members of the First Team with some fresh faces as well. Marissa Lassiter (vault, bars, floor), Sienna Zuccaro (vault), Ruth Whaley (bars), Ava Hooten (floor), and Mimi Fletcher (floor) make up Penn’s Second Team selections.
The Quakers earned these honors by placing in the top six of National qualifying scores (NQS) on their respective events for the First Team and the following six scores for the Second Team.
The Red and Blue have utilized a stacked, deep roster all season en route to their best regular season of all time at 23 wins. They will lean on these gymnasts and more as they eye their third straight “treble” this Saturday at the GEC Championships.
