ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A dining establishment that has been temporarily closed for repairs since mid-August will welcome back customers this weekend in Lehigh County.
A location of Bang Bang Hibachi Grill & Sushi, known for its freshly prepared sushi rolls, hibachi dishes and other Japanese favorites, is set to reopen on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Unit 225, in Lower Macungie Township, according to an announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The restaurant has been temporarily closed since mid-August, when its wall was damaged by a car.
To celebrate its reopening, the restaurant will offer an online special offer of $4 off any order of $50 or more.
Other locations of Bang Bang Hibachi Grill & Sushi operate at 1519 Lehigh St. in Allentown, 1465 W. Broad St. in Quakertown and 1241 Airport Road in Allentown, with the latter location having recently opened on Aug. 28.
The Lower Macungie restaurant opened in August 2024.
Bang Bang offers appetizers such as edamame, shu mai, spring rolls, fried or steamed pork dumplings, fried crab rangoon, fried coconut shrimp and takoyaki balls; and nigiri and sashimi such as eel, tuna, red clam, mackerel, octopus and salmon roe.

Around 30 regular sushi rolls include raw selections such as Alaskan, Philadelphia, spicy crab and yellowtail jalapeno; and non-raw selections such as Boston, California, sweet potato and mango.
Additionally, around two dozen special rolls include raw selections like Summer (spicy tuna, crab and avocado rolled in thin-sliced cucumber) and Soy Kingdom (tuna, salmon, crab and avocado rolled in soy paper); and non-raw selections such as Pink Lobster (tempura lobster, cucumber, lettuce and mayo with pink soy paper) and Shrimp Love (tempura shrimp, cucumber and cream cheese topped with boiled shrimp).
Menu items with a red pepper next to them indicate a spicy option.
Hibachi selections, which are prepared in the kitchen, include chicken, steak, scallop, shrimp, salmon, lobster tail, noodles, vegetables and a variety of combinations.
Hibachi platters include fried rice, vegetables and yum yum sauce.
Bang Bang also serves a wide array of soups, salads and specialty drinks, including bubble tea (taro, brown sugar, coconut, matcha and more), fruit green tea (peach, passion fruit, lychee, winter melon and more) and smoothies (mango, dragon fruit, orange, mocha coffee and more).
Bang Bang Hibachi Grill & Sushi’s original location operates on Lehigh Street in Allentown.

The Lower Macungie location of Bang Bang operates 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30-9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sundays.
