DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Drivers traveling on Interstate 81 in Lackawanna County should expect delays over the next several weeks due to scheduled maintenance work.
PennDOT says alternating lane restrictions, along with closures of both the right and left shoulders, will be in place on I-81 in both directions between Exit 178 (Avoca/Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport) and Exit 191 (Dickson City).
The restrictions will run from Thursday, March 19 through Friday, April 3, with work taking place daily between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Crews will be conducting sweeping operations and removing large debris along the roadway.
Motorists are urged to use caution, watch for changing traffic patterns, and allow extra travel time through the work zone.
