Pierce joins a strong Eagles running back room led by Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley, and Carson Steele. Pierce said that Barkley’s impact played a part in his decision to come to Philadelphia.

“I think that’s one of the better reasons to choose this room,” Pierce said. “A great guy who’s done an incredible job in every year he’s played in his league, whether it’s here, whether it’s in New York, his entire career, he’s been a great running back and that’s a great guy to be around and learn from.”

Since entering the NFL, Pierce has dealt with some injuries and his playing time has fluctuated. His opportunities have dwindled in recent seasons, but when given them, Pierce has proven he is more than capable.

In Week 18 of the 2024 season, Pierce got 19 carries against the Titans and ran for 176 yards and a touchdown. When his number was called, he came up with an explosive performance.

As he begins his time in Philadelphia, Pierce is searching for more of that consistency to do whatever he can to help the team win.

“I think the thing that everybody would agree on is consistency,” he said. “Whether that’s taking care of my body, whether that’s the playbook, whether that’s just staying after practice, whatever I got to do. I just got to find it.”
