A residential fire broke out early on Friday in the City of Erie.
Calls went out around 2:30 a.m. for a fire located at the 3100 block of Charlotte Street.
Deputy Chief on scene, Jeff Carroll, said the initial company that responded to the blaze found heavy flames in the front bedroom of the residence.
The fire was confined to that bedroom.
The occupant was not home at the time of the fire, but later arrived to see emergency crews located at the residence.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated, and no injuries were reported.
The Red Cross is taking care of the occupants of the home.
