SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Several people in the Lackawanna County Sheriff’s office are under investigation over alleged violations involving false overtime claims, according to information obtained by FOX56.
Details remain limited, but FOX56 has confirmed that an active investigation is underway into alleged misconduct.
The exact nature of the investigation – as well as the number of people involved- remains unclear.
FOX56 reached out to Commissioners Bill Gaughan, Thom Welby, and Chris Chermak, and Sheriff’s Office Solicitor Larry Moran for comment. As of now, no responses have been received.
Sheriff Mark McAndrew and County Solicitor Paul Walker both responded to calls from FOX56 but were unable to comment on the matter.
