Reading to commemorate Greek Independence Day | Reading Area

READING, Pa. – The City of Reading invites the public to attend a flag-raising ceremony commemorating Greek Independence Day.

While the official holiday is March 25, the city — in collaboration with Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church — will raise the flag of Greece on March 23 to allow community members to gather and celebrate together.

Mayor Eddie Moran will offer brief remarks during the ceremony.

It will take place on Monday at 5 p.m. at City Park (base of stairs exiting basketball courts along Columbus Drive).
