ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A jury is deliberating Friday. Their verdict could determine whether an Allentown man spends the rest of his life in prison.
Gabriel Cartagena is accused of knocking on a family’s door and gunning down grandmother Ada Ortiz and her 13-month-old grandson, just more than two years ago.
The prosecution and defense presented closing arguments Friday morning.
Ada’s husband, Leandro Ortiz, was also shot, but survived.
Surveillance footage from the time of the attack was shown in court Thursday.

The prosecution showed clearer pictures of the surrounding streets before and after the shooting and say it was Cartagena in the video.
The defense argues they cannot say the person in each video is the same person.
