PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania returns from Florida to host a match against Temple at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Hecht Tennis Center. Last Wednesday, Penn had a tough loss to Xavier losing 4-0, but the Quakers bounced back against Western Carolina on Friday, 6-1. Penn’s season record is now 7-7, hoping to get back above .500 this week.

*The Quakers were ranked No. 70 in the latest ITA team rankings.  

 

* Penn won two doubles matches and five of six singles matches against Western Carolina. 

 

* Joleen Saw and Maya Urata earned a victory in doubles against Western Carolina winning, 6-2. Saw also won a singles match against the Catamounts.  

 

* Lara Stojanovski and Varsha Vedula also had doubles victory winning their match by default. Both Stojanovski and Vedula won their singles matches as well.
