Code Blue to be issued in Lackawanna County, Scranton

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Lackawanna County and the City of Scranton declared a Code Blue Frigid Weather Alert for Monday night.

The Code Blue will be in effect Monday night, March 23, through Tuesday morning, March 24.

St. Anthony’s Haven, Weston Field House, and the Community Intervention Center will serve as emergency shelters for vulnerable populations, including the homeless.

St. Anthony’s Haven will be open 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., Weston Field House will open at 7:30 p.m., and the Community Intervention Center will be open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
