ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The City of Allentown is advising residents and visitors to prepare for traffic and parking impacts due to the scheduled visit from Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday. 

The event will be hosted at the PPL Center on Tuesday, October 29 and is set to start at 7 p.m.

The city has announced street closures in the downtown area: will be closed starting at 5 p.m. on Monday. 

As of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, the street closure will include:

7th Street from Linden to Walnut 

Hamilton Street from 6th to 8th Street

7th Street from Turner to Walnut Street

8th Street from Turner to Walnut

Officials say parking access will be provided to residents within the closure. 

No parking will be available on Linden Street between American Parkway and 9th Street, with additional restrictions in surrounding areas of the PPL Center, according to the press release. 

The Allentown Police Department, in coordination with state and federal law enforcement partners, will have an increased presence to ensure the safety and security of the public. 

Officials say that large crowds, foot traffic, and heightened media presence will be expected in the vicinity of the PPL Center.Â
