On Saturday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will be in Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz.
The 76ers are coming off a 139-118 victory over the Sacramento Kings.
Joel Embiid did not play in the game.

For Saturday’s game, the 76ers have announced that they will remain without Embiid.
Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire wrote: “OUT: Joel Embiid (right oblique strain), Tyrese Maxey (right finger tendon injury), Paul George (league suspension), Kelly Oubre Jr. (left elbow sprain), Johni Broome (right knee surgery recovery) #Sixers”

Embiid is still an elite center when he is on the floor.
The 2023 MVP is averaging 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 49.5% from the field and 31.8% from three-point range in 33 games.
Yahoo Sports wrote (on March 15): “Strange but true: Since 2014-15, Joel Embiid has missed as many regular season games as he’s played in his career”

The 76ers are currently the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-32 record in 70 games.
They have won five out of their last ten games (and are 18-16 in 34 games on the road).
After the Jazz, the 76ers will play their next game on Monday when they return home to host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Wells Fargo Center.

The 76ers have a very talented roster, but injuries derailed their 2024-25 season (where they missed the playoffs).
Embiid has been unable to get out of the second round during his tenure with the franchise.

The Jazz are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 21-49 record in 70 games.
They have won just three out of their last ten games (and are 13-22 at home).
