LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A bridge is closed after being deemed unsafe in Lackawanna County.Â
The Lackawanna County Communications Director says the bridge on Airport Drive and Route 307 in Newton Township is closed, effective immediately.Â
The closure comes at the recommendation of the road and bridges department and the county engineer, following a determination that the structure’s headwall was unsafe for traffic.Â
An alternative route has been put in place for motorists.Â
