BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Inside Wind Creek in Bethlehem, the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association revved up its engines for the first Cars and Kids Because We CARe Gala organized by the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association Saturday night.

“It’s definitely wonderful and for a great cause, you know and that’s what it about, cars, kids and community,” said Dan Moyer, executive director of the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association.

All of the money raised at the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association goes to nonprofits that help children.

“It’s wonderful just to have the support from GLVADA,” said Susan Bartels, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley CEO.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley CEO, Susan Bartels said money the organization receives from this event will go toward the sports buddies program, which serves around 50 children.

“So, we introduce young people to sports and they get an opportunity to get a taste of different sports, like basketball, baseball, go and play or participate,” said Bartels.

The America on Wheels Museum is also receiving proceeds.

“It helps to support our mission which is to showcase the history of transportation and to educate everyone,” said Al Ruozzi, director of the America on Wheels Museum

Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association executive director Dan Moyer said there is something in particular he hopes people take away from the event.

“To be proud of what dealers in the Lehigh Valley do and how much they give back to the community and how big a part they are of your community,” said Dan Moyer, executive director of the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association.

The final day of the Lehigh Valley Auto Show is on Sunday.
