Luzerne County — Approximately 536 Pennsylvania American Water customers in Pringle and Courtdale boroughs in Luzerne County are under a boil water advisory.

Early Saturday morning officials say they loss positive water pressure due to a water main break in the Ceasetown system.

Officials say the loss of pressure caused a storage tank to drain, leaving some customers without water and others with limited pressure.

The loss of positive pressure could allow contamination to enter the distribution system through back-flow by back pressure or back siphonage.

To ease the inconvenience, a potable water tanker will be available at the Courtdale Municipal Building at 5 Blackman Street. Customers are asked to bring their own containers to fill.
