Authorities said a baby was found uninjured after being left in a running car that was stolen Saturday morning in West Philadelphia.
The 1-year-old was inside the vehicle when a stranger got in and drove away just before noon on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue in the Powelton neighborhood, according to police. A short time later, officers found the car a couple blocks away, on North Brooklyn Street, investigators said.
Medics evaluated the child at the scene and found that the baby was not harmed, law enforcement officials said.
No arrests have been made, a PPD spokesperson said Sunday. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the police tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
