HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN CO. (WOLF) — Gas prices across Pennsylvania continued their steady rise Sunday, March 22, extending a streak of more than three weeks of increases as global oil concerns push costs higher.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Pennsylvania is now about $3.88 per gallon, up from roughly $3.85 on March 21, marking continued upward pressure statewide.
The increase marks the 24th consecutive day of rising gas prices across the Commonwealth.
The national average has also climbed, reaching approximately $3.94 per gallon, as global energy markets remain volatile.
Drivers in California are still paying the highest prices in the country at around $5.56 per gallon, while Kansas remains among the lowest at about $3.18 per gallon.
Gasoline isn’t the only fuel seeing price surges.

Consumers may soon feel the impact of rising fuel prices beyond the gas pump, as higher transportation and material costs begin to ripple through the economy.
Experts say everyday retail items—including clothing, electronics, and household goods—could become more expensive as supply chain disruptions increase the cost of materials like plastics and chemicals.
Travel costs are also expected to rise. With jet fuel prices climbing, airlines are likely to pass those increases on to passengers, meaning airfare could go up in the coming weeks.
At home, utility bills may also be affected. Natural gas prices are trending higher globally, and that could lead to increased electricity costs, particularly in areas that rely heavily on gas for power.
