SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Over the weekend a famous Scranton Bakery suffered an oven fire and had to temporarily close, but on Monday, it reopened.
National Bakery is a Scranton staple delivering thousands of loaves of bread and baked goods across the state and even into New York, but when one of their ovens caught fire Saturday night, the bakery had to close on Sunday leaving its sister location to pick up the slack.
On Monday, after being cleared by all the necessary parties, the bakery was back up and running at normal capacity, ready for the Easter rush as the holiday fast approaches.
