A 17-year-old faces robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and related firearm offenses.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A teen faces charges after an armed robbery in Scranton.

Police say a 17-year-old man armed with a handgun robbed a mini mart along the 700 block of Pittston Avenue just before 6 p.m. Monday, and fired shots at another person while fleeing the scene.

Officers caught the suspect shortly after.

Investigators have also connected the suspect to a robbery at the same mini mart back in February.

The teen has not yet been identified but faces robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and related firearm offenses.
