• Wire Tree Workshop, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Education Building, 1700 Hawk Mountain Road, Albany Township, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Learn from multimedia artist Mark Golomb how to make a wire tree by hand-shaping and twisting steel wires into the form of a tree, followed by painting it and mounting it in a base. Pick from one of four styles: natural, windswept, weeping willow, or forest. All materials included, and everyone takes a finished tree home at the end of class. Recommended for ages 18 and up. • The Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue Easter egg hunt, 60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds, gates open at 11 a.m. and the egg hunt begins at 11:30. All dog- and human-friendly canines are invited. Dogs must remain on leash (6 feet and shorter, no flexi leads), and only one dog per handler will be admitted. A suggested donation of $5 per dog will be collected. • Christian pet loss support group, St. John’s Reformed Church fellowship hall, 4001 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, 6:45 p.m. Sessions are led by Dr. Becky Frank, associate veterinarian with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice. • Homeschoolers’ History Day at Beidler House, Allegheny Aqueduct Park, 1130 Old River Road, Robeson Township, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Homeschoolers are invited to step back in time and experience a little bit of life in the 1800s at the Beidler House. Dress up and pretend you live in a house just like the Beidler House, explore the rooms and grounds, create 19th century crafts and participate in different activities from the 19th century with our costumed volunteers.
