• Wire Tree Workshop, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Education Building, 1700 Hawk Mountain Road, Albany Township, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Learn from multimedia artist Mark Golomb how to make a wire tree by hand-shaping and twisting steel wires into the form of a tree, followed by painting it and mounting it in a base. Pick from one of four styles: natural, windswept, weeping willow, or forest. All materials included, and everyone takes a finished tree home at the end of class. Recommended for ages 18 and up. • The Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue Easter egg hunt, 60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds, gates open at 11 a.m. and the egg hunt begins at 11:30. All dog- and human-friendly canines are invited. Dogs must remain on leash (6 feet and shorter, no flexi leads), and only one dog per handler will be admitted. A suggested donation of $5 per dog will be collected. • Turkey supper, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1979 Weavertown Road, Amity Township, 3-7 p.m. Eat in, adults $16, children under 12 $8, kids under 4 free. Take out, $16. Full turkey dinner buffet style with all the sides: turkey, potato filling, green beans, corn, pepper cabbage, cranberry sauce, roll and butter. Soup, coffee and pie will be served at the table.

• Yoga on the Mountain, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Acopian Center, 1700 Hawk Mountain Road, Albany Township, 9-10 a.m. Stretch your wings and soar into a new day with yoga with a view. Hawk Mountain is partnering with local studio YOGA-B-YOGA to bring you yoga with an inspirational view that has to be seen to be believed. • Christian pet loss support group, St. John’s Reformed Church fellowship hall, 4001 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, 6:45 p.m. Sessions are led by Dr. Becky Frank, associate veterinarian with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice. Frank is also certified in thanatology (death, loss, grief, and bereavement). The program entails six different sessions and participants may join at any time. • Homeschoolers’ History Day at Beidler House, Allegheny Aqueduct Park, 1130 Old River Road, Robeson Township, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Homeschoolers are invited to step back in time and experience a little bit of life in the 1800s at the Beidler House. Dress up and pretend you live in a house just like the Beidler House, explore the rooms and grounds, create 19th century crafts and participate in different activities from the 19th century with our costumed volunteers. • Volunteer Open House, Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Road, Bern Township, 10 a.m.-noon. Come out and learn more about volunteering for the Berks County Park system! We’re looking for energetic volunteers to assist us in a variety of roles.

• Open House at the Beidler House, Alleghany Aqueduct Park, 1130 Old River Road, Robeson Township, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Come check out the Beidler House and see the sights around Alleghany Aqueduct Park. This historic site is only open on a few occasions a year. Free.

• Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue will hold its monthly open house from 10 a.m. until noon at its Golden Gateway facility at 60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds. Meet and greet the golden retrievers and dogs available for adoption. Staff is on hand to answer questions, and food is available for purchase. No admission charge. • Wyomissing Garden Club event, Wyomissing Public Library, 9 Reading Blvd., Wyomissing, 1 p.m. Tori Cieslak, a self-taught amateur mycologist, will present  “What are morels? Why are they special? How can I find them? What can I do with the?” She often finds morels around her local property and surrounding nature trails. The free presentation will include photos of morels in their natural habitat.
