A Bethlehem mineral store will offer free goodies to customers when it reopens next month after a summer fire forced it to close.

The Gemeral Store will host a grand reopening at 10 a.m. on Nov. 8 at 216 W. Broad St., it announced online. Each customer that day will get one free tumbled stone and the first 30 customers will get additional free merchandise.

“Come be part of our homecoming celebration,” the store said. “We’re grateful for all of your support!”

The store also offers crystals, jewelry, pinned butterflies and “coddiwomples” that artist Steve Cross created from combining materials like Bethlehem Steel fragments, fossils, Alaskan rum, flower seeds, gold and rubies.

It opened in late June at 707 N. New St., but closed just over a week later due to the fire.
