ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police have charged two men after they say shots were fired in Allentown Tuesday night.
Members of the Allentown Police Department responded to the 300 Block of North Church Street for a report of shots being fired in the area around 7:30 p.m., according to a news release from city police.
Officers found evidence of shots being fired in the area, police said.
Officers made contact with the victims, who provided descriptions of the suspects. Police quickly located the suspects a short time later, taking them into custody without incident. A loaded firearm was recovered during the course of the investigation, according to the release.
Authorities say no injuries were reported by anyone involved.
Following the response and subsequent investigation, Hector Martinez, 34, of Emmaus, has been charged with Persons Not to Possess Firearms, Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License, Aggravated Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
Joshua Martinez, 29, also of Emmaus, has been charged with Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
