FREEMANSBURG, Pa. – A second-alarm fire broke out at a home on Market Street in Freemansburg late Wednesday afternoon, according to 911 dispatchers.

The call came in at 5:53 p.m. for a fire at a two‑and‑a‑half‑story single‑family home. The blaze quickly went to a second alarm, dispatchers say.

Fire crews say flames were visible on the second floor when they arrived. One person was taken to the hospital, police confirmed.

Dispatchers reported the fire was under control by 6:45 p.m., though several fire companies remained on scene past 7 p.m.
