READING, Pa. – The Albright College community continues to mourn the loss of one of its own.

Chris Kraras died earlier this week at age 79. A CEO for White Star Travel, a member of countless boards, a philanthropist and a family man — Kraras represented Berks County, through and through.

A Reading High School and Albright College graduate, Kraras built up the surrounding community that helped him succeed in life.

69 News spoke to members of that Albright College community about the impact Kraras has had, as they get ready to celebrate and remember him at an upcoming gala.

“We were fortunate to meet with Chris and to get some video footage of Chris, but Chris will be there in spirit, and Chris will be able to share with the attendees his message about why it’s so important to him to support Albright,” said James Gaddy, vice president of advancement at Albright College.

The gala is slated for April 16.
