WYOMISSING, Pa. — The annual United Way shopping spree was held at Redner’s on Wednesday night.

This year’s winner, Beth Garrigan, ran through the aisles, filling several shopping carts with items like cereal, rice and ramen.

Garrigan is the CEO of Safe Berks. The nonprofit provides as safe haven and support system for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The items totaled over $1,000 and will go to women in the shelter.
