The latest U.S. News and World Report best high schools ranking includes four Lehigh Valley public schools in Pennsylvania’s top 100, with a charter school ranking the highest of the four.

The list uses metrics such as graduation rate and college readiness, a score that measures participation and passing rates in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams.

Scores on state assessments also factor into the rankings, and adjustments are made to account for how much a school over or under performs in relation to expectations informed by demographic data.
