Local leaders rolled up their sleeves on Thursday to make sure seniors and others in the community have something to eat.

Pennsylvania representatives Mike Schlossberg and Pete Schweyer are among those who helped deliver meals on Thursday for “Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley.”

Schlossberg says it’s about connecting with people and understanding what they need.

“I think one of the things that people often lose track of is that elected officials are human and seeing stories of people who are really touched by wonderful services like Meals on Wheels gives us a better understanding of who they are, what they need and how we can be helpful,” Schlossberg said. 

They hit the road for the organization’s “March for Meals” campaign.
