From Berks County Planning Commission

The Reading Area Transportation Study Coordinating Committee announced the availability for citizens, local governments, and interested organizations to review and comment on the following documents: Draft FFY 2027-2050 Long Range Transportation Plan, Draft FFY 2027-2030 Transportation Improvement Program, Draft Air Quality Conformity Analysis, and Draft Community Demographic Assessment for Berks County.

These planning documents list various roadway, public transit, and off-road transportation projects and planning efforts in Berks County. The Long Range Transportation Plan provides detailed background materials on Berks County’s land use, demographics, and transportation system, and makes recommendations for addressing deficiencies and new issues. The Transportation Improvement Program serves as a capital budget and provides details on transportation projects to be undertaken the next four years.

The public review and comment period began March 22, 2026, with an advertisement in the Reading Eagle and extends through April 24, 2026. (English) (Español)
