(WHTM) — Several Pennsylvania theme parks have a chance to be voted the best in USA Today’s 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards.

USA Today recently launched multiple categories for this year’s 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards, which includes Best Theme Parks.

“Theme parks are more than just a collection of thrilling rides and colorful attractions — they’re gateways to worlds of wonder, where fantasy and reality merge to create memorable experiences,” USA Today said. “Offering an escape from the ordinary, theme parks across the United States see millions of visitors per year.”

According to USA Today, they asked a panel of experts to nominate 20 theme parks from across the country that offer a range of attractions.

Theme parks here in Pennsylvania that have been nominated include Hersheypark, Kennywood and Knoebels.

Other well-known theme parks that also gained a nomination this year include Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia; Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio; SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida; Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida; and Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.

Readers will have a chance to cast their vote for their favorite theme park until noon on Monday, April 20.

The winning parks will be announced on Wednesday, April 29.
