According to a press release from the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshals three burn victims from the fire had transported to local hospitals in the area. Two of the victims were airlifted to Buffalo Children’s Hospital and the third victim was airlifted to UPMC Pittsburgh for treatment.

This is still an ongoing investigation, but the fire is believed to be accidental at this time.

Emergency crews are responding to a fire at an Amish school in Spartansburg Pennsylvania just before 9:30 this morning. Crews had been called to 95983 Byler Road in Crawford County.

First responders stated that the fire potentially started due to incorrect fuel that was placed into a lantern within the school. Reports have stated that there may be multiple burn victims. First responders have reported that there are at least three victims with severe burns.

When the Erie News Now team called the 911 center, they reported that there is a fire currently burning at that location but when asked about possible victims the dispatcher relayed that that information could not be disclosed at this time.

Erie News Now crew are currently headed to the scene, and more information will be provided as this story develops.
