SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — The buzz of local vendors and the excitement of new businesses coming to town filled the Marketplace at Steamtown for its Harvest Market.
Scranton Public Market hosted the event, bringing together local vendors and businesses for a day of community fun.
Scooping up excitement early with a taste of what’s to come, Jenna Urban from Sport Hill Creamery shared her new shop opening this upcoming spring.
“We are opening an ice cream shop in Dunmore in the spring. And today we’re here with our ice cream sandwiches. And we’ve been promoting our ice cream sandwiches at birthday parties, weddings, and baby showers. We’re going to feature Penn State Creamery ice cream, which no one else has in the area. We’ll also have soft serve. And then we’ll have a full selection of grab and go,” said Urban.
Urban noted that the event not only supports local businesses but also gives newcomers a chance to showcase themselves to the community.
“We’re just here today trying to market ourselves in the local community. And this is a great turnout. It’s been a terrific event and a great way to promote our new business,” said Urban.
