DAYTON – The University of Dayton men’s tennis team is back on the road for a pair of Atlantic 10 matches in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The Flyers will take on Fordham and Duquesne on March 28 and 29.

Dayton is on a four-game win streak after defeating Davidson and Saint Louis last weekend, improving to 11-6 overall and 3-0 in the A-10. Mikkel Zinder went 4-0 on the weekend. Rishi Dore went 3-0, earning Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week.

Fordham is 6-10 this season, splitting matches against Fairfield and Saint Joseph’s last weekend. The Rams will play Duquesne on March 27 before taking on the Flyers. Fordham was picked fifth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, with Dhillon Virdee-Oakley and Filip Horak earning placement on the Preseason All-Conference Team.

UD is 5-1 all-time against Fordham. The two programs have not met since 2020, when Fordham won 4-3.

The Dukes are 5-7, defeating Saint Francis and falling to Mercyhurst last weekend. Duquesne was selected eighth in the A-10 Preseason Poll. Alfrendo Vogelaar leads Duquesne with five wins. In doubles, Vogelaar and Pierce Manning have a team-most two wins, along with Austin Lai and Tancredi Alfano.

Dayton is 16-10 against Duquesne, dating back to 2003. The Flyers have won 12 straight matches against the Dukes. Last season, Dayton swept Duquesne 7-0. In addition to the doubles point, current Flyers Kyle McNally, Sturle Skigelstrand, Alfons Ridstrom and Zinder won their singles matches.

The Flyers will play Youngstown State on April 2 at noon.
