Everyone seems to have an opinion as to which direction the Pittsburgh Steelers should go in addressing the future of their quarterback position — and the legendary Ben Roethlisberger made his opinion on the subject crystal clear.
On a recent episode of the Deebo & Joe podcast, Roethlisberger argued the Steelers would be better off targeting one of their former quarterbacks — Josh Dobbs — who was just released by the New England Patriots.

“Here’s something I would consider that happened recently,” Roethlisberger said. “Josh Dobbs just got released by New England. I would strongly, if Aaron is not coming back, I’d love to bring a veteran guy in like Dobbs, who’s been here. Obviously a new system, not the same coaching staff, but bring a veteran guy in.”
Roethlisberger and Dobbs played together from 2017-2019 and from 2020-2021 with the Steelers, where they developed a close relationship.
Dobbs, a literal rocket scientist with a major in aerospace engineering, is often regarded as one of the smartest quarterbacks in the league and could help further develop second-year quarterback Will Howard as the Steelers decide where to go next at signal caller.
