RYAN, WHEN IS IT GOING TO START WARMING UP AGAIN? AT LEAST IT’S BEAUTIFUL OUT THERE. IT WAS A BIT CHILLY TODAY, I’LL SAY. I WALKED OUT THE DOOR HEADING I WAS LIKE, OH MAN, IT’S A LITTLE CHILLY. I’M EXPECTING THE 70S. BUT YOU KNOW, WE STILL GOT TO WAIT YET. WHICH I’LL CHAT ABOUT HERE IN JUST A MOMENT. BUT FOR RIGHT NOW, LOOK AT LEBANON RIGHT NOW. BLUE SKIES ACROSS THE AREA. I MEAN, THIS IS BASICALLY THE SIMILAR LOOK ACROSS THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY WITH SUNNY CONDITIONS INTO THE MID 40S. BUT THERE HAS BEEN A BIT OF A BREEZE TODAY OUT OF THE NORTH, NORTH, NORTH NORTHWEST AT AROUND SEVEN MILES PER HOUR WITH SOME GUSTS TODAY. EARLIER HAD ABOUT RIGHT AROUND 20MPH IS WHERE SOME COMMUNITIES GUSTED OUT, BUT WILL BE MILDER AND PLEASANT FOR SUNDAY. AN UNSETTLED START TO THE WEEK IS ON TAP FOR MONDAY. LOOKING AHEAD INTO OUR TUESDAY. ANOTHER EARLY CHANCE FOR SOME SHOWERS, BUT I WILL SAY FOR OUR MONDAY IT’S. THE UNSETTLED WEATHER REALLY COMES IN LATE IN THE DAY. I DO THINK MONDAY WILL END UP BEING DRY FOR THE MOST PART, BUT TEMPERATURES ARE INTO THE MID 40S, LOWER 50S FOR GETTYSBURG. HIGHEST WINDS TODAY BETWEEN 15 TO 20MPH. SOME AREAS GUSTED UPWARDS TO 30MPH. BUT HERE’S OUR 12 HOUR FORECAST. EXPECT MAINLY CLEAR CONDITIONS THROUGH TONIGHT, BUT WE’LL SEE SOME PARTLY CLOUDY CONDITIONS AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW MORNING. BUT WE’LL HAVE MORE ON THE FULL FORECAST COMING UP HERE IN JUST A FEW MORE MINUTES. ALL RIGHT. THANKS, BRIAN. SEE YOU THEN. EARLIER THIS WEEK, WE TOLD YOU ABOUT A PERSON ATTACKING AN EMT WORKER. AND TONIGHT WE NOW KNOW WHO WAS CHARGED IN THE INCIDENT. WEST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP POLICE ARRESTED ROBERT MERCADO OF KIRKWOOD AND CHARGED HIM WITH AGGRAVATED ASSAULT. ACCORDING TO POLICE, OFFICERS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE AREA OF WILLOW STREET AND LOCUST LANE THIS PAST TUESDAY EVENING AFTER EMS PERSONNEL ON AN AMBULANCE ACTIVATED AN EMERGENCY ALERT FOR A PATIENT WHO WAS ATTACKING THEM. THEN WHEN OFFICERS ARRIVED, THEY SAY RICARDO WAS INTOXICATED AND WAS RESTRAINED IN THE BACK OF AN AMBULANCE BY AN EMT. AS RICARDO HELD A SYRINGE FILLED WITH MEDICATION, OFFICERS WERE ABLE TO TAKE THE SYRINGE AWAY FROM HIM. RICARDO IS OUT ON BAIL TONIGHT. THIS IS THE AFTERMATH FROM A TANKER CARRYING MILK THAT CRASHED INTO A BRIDGE. 911 DISPATCHERS SAY THE CRASH HAPPENED AROUND 4:00 THIS MORNING AT THE POWELL’S VALLEY ROAD BRIDGE IN WAYNE TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY. THE DAUPHIN COUNTY HAS RESPONSE TEAM SAYS THE CRASH CAUSED BOTH FUEL AND MILK TO FLOW INTO NEARBY WATER. THE TEAM WORKED FOR SEVERAL HOURS TODAY TO SLOW DOWN AND CONTROL THE FLOW FROM THE TANKER. TO REDUCE THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT, DISPATCHERS SAY THERE WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES, AND STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE CRASH RIGHT NOW. PENNDOT SAYS IT IS ASSESSING THE SITUATION AND DEVELOPING A REPAIR PLAN FOR THE BRIDGE, AND DRIVERS IN THAT AREA SHOULD USE OTHER ROUTES. THE FUNDING FIGHT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY CONTINUES. THE U.S. HOUSE APPROVED A SHORT TERM FUNDING BILL FOR THE DEPARTMENT LAST NIGHT. THE BILL PASSED 213 TO 203. THE FOUR CONGRESSMEN WHO REPRESENT THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, ALL REPUBLICANS, VOTED IN FAVOR OF THE BILL. UNLIKE THE SENATE APPROVED LEGISLATION THAT WAS REJECTED IN THE HOUSE, THIS BILL WOULD FUND ALL OF DHS, INCLUDING ICE AND BORDER PATROL, THROUGH MAY 22ND. DESPITE THIS BILL ADVANCING, THERE IS NO END IN SIGHT FOR THIS PARTIAL SHUTDOWN AS BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE POINT FINGERS AT EACH OTHER. THEY HAVE TAKEN HOSTAGE THE FUNDING PROCESSES OF GOVERNMENT SO THAT THEY CAN IMPOSE THEIR RADICAL AGENDA ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, AND WE CAN’T HAVE ANY PART OF IT. THIS GAMBIT THAT WAS DONE LAST NIGHT IS A JOKE. I’M QUITE CONVINCED THAT IT CAN’T BE THAT EVERY SENATE REPUBLICAN READ THE LANGUAGE OF THIS BILL. REPUBLICANS CANNOT CONTINUE TO HOLD FUNDING FOR AIRPORT SECURITY, DISASTER ASSISTANCE AND RESPONSE FOR THE COAST GUARD HOSTAGE BECAUSE THEY WANT AN OUT OF CONTROL ICE THAT BRUTALIZES OUR COMMUNITIES, DETAINS CHILDREN AND KILLS U.S. CITIZENS. EARLIER YESTERDAY, PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP SIGNED AN ORDER DIRECTING DHS TO PAY TSA WORKERS THE DOLLAR AMOUNT IN AUTHORITY FOR TAPPING THE FUNDS WAS NOT IMMEDIATELY CLEAR, BUT
