ATLANTA, Ga. – Watson Nguyen and Peter Whittington of the University of Pennsylvania swimming and diving team wrapped up competition at the 2026 NCAA Championships Saturday.

Sophomore Nguyen was the first to swim at this year’s postseason event, swimming in the 100 breaststroke, placing 28th with a final time of 52.05.

Whittington and Nguyen then shared the stage on Saturday, placing 23rd and 26th respectively in the 200 breaststroke. Whittington took the former placement with a 1:53.85 while Nguyen took the latter with a 1:54.07.

Prior to the championships, Whittington was also able to qualify for the 400 individual medley, placing 31st with a 3.45.26.

The end of the NCAA Championships also marks the conclusion of the 2026 swimming and diving season for the Quakers. The Red and Blue provided multiple bright moments this year that they can carry into next year’s campaign.
