SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – An award-winning restaurant is serving up modern American with an Asian twist.
Byron Coons, George Smith, and Juan Cordon from Notch Modern Kitchen visited the 69 News at Sunrise Kitchen Friday morning.
The restaurant is located at 5036 Hamilton Boulevard across the street from the Hamilton Crossings and Costco.
Notch Modern Kitchen & Bar has expansive appetizer selections and a wide range of dishes ranging from burgers and handhelds to Thai cuisine to a higher end hand cut filet.
The restaurant showcased some of its features, like its Salmon and Tuna sashimi with lemon, cucumber, soy and ginger broth served with jasmine rice. The restaurant says it will be a special this weekend and beyond.
Coons, Smith, and Cordon paired it with the Asian Pear-tini. It’s a combination of vodka, elderflower liqueur, and house-made pear sake.
The restaurant also featured its popular Notch Crab Cakes. It hand mixes and prepares the crab cakes with a little filler and pairs it with a savory and light shrimp fried rice with peas, carrots, sweet corn, and its house rice sauce. The restaurant says it recommends this with its Spring Sangria – floral and refreshing with honeysuckle, lychee, Aperol, and rose topped with a splash of club.
Coons, Smith, and Cordon also whipped up a fresh mango and pineapple pastry with pineapple curd. The restaurant paired it with two choices of NA mocktails, its Thai Tea, and its Mango Boba Refresher.
