Police were busy in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood Sunday after they were called to two separate shootings where one person was killed and another was taken to the hospital in critical condition. At 2:28 a.m., officers responded to two separate ShotSpotter alerts totaling eight rounds on South 18th Street at Carson Street. This is right near Fatheads. Officers located a man down on the street with multiple gunshot wounds.They provided aid and applied chest seals until EMS arrived to transport him in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.Violent Crime Division detectives are investigating.Hours before the fatal shooting, police responded to a shooting at the intersection of South 15th Street and Bingham Street. This incident was reported just after midnight. Officers found a man on the ground who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.Pittsburgh Police Chief Jason Lando said this was a road rage incident and unrelated to the other shooting that happened in the South Side later on Sunday morning. Chief Lando said 25-year-old Devin Singleton, 25, of Pittsburgh was arrested.Officials said an investigation into that shooting also remains underway.
