WEST READING, Pa. – The curtain has come down on this year’s Berks Jazz Fest.
The 35th annual celebration of all things jazz wrapped up on Sunday.
Jazz lovers gathered this morning at the DoubleTree Hotel for brunch and a performance by Gerald Veasley’s Unscripted All-Stars.
The festival’s director says the 10-day event is a labor of love.
“To be at the final day is, it’s fantastic to see all the faces in there eating, enjoying themselves, it’s a good feeling,” Tish Davis, executive director of Berks Jazz Fest, said.Â
33 additional jazz events are scheduled over the next few weeks at nearly two-dozen venues across Berks County for April’s Jazz Apprecation Month.
All of that will lead up to Rick Braun performing the music of Chuck Mangione on April 30th at Miller Center for the Arts in Reading.
