Mrs. Patrick William Loughney Jr. (Powell Studio)
St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, Scranton, was the setting April 26 for the wedding of Kristen Patricia Waznak and Patrick William Loughney Jr., both of Taylor.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Waznak, Scranton. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Loughney Sr., Dunmore.
The Rev. Myron Myronyuk and the Very Rev. John Seniw officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.
Bridesmaids were Olena Baytko, Bridget Caruso, Jennie Cawley, Jeanne DeSantis, Laura Fetch, Colleen Loughney and Rebecca Thomas.
Esther Matalonis was flower girl.
Ushers were Matthew Baytko, Noah DeSantis, Thomas Ehnot, Nathan Kuchmas, Sean Loughney and William McDonough.
A reception was held at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
The bride is a graduate of Holy Cross High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in criminology from Penn State University and Associate of Applied Science for funeral service education from Northampton Community College. She is a clerical assistant at Clarks Summit State Hospital and a funeral director at Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc. and Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Dunmore High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in business from Penn State University. He is employed by the Housing Authority of the County of Lackawanna.
The couple met in 2019 at the Spring Break for Autism Benefit.
The couple is taking a trip to Ireland and resides in Taylor.
