Scammers Posing As Lower Merion Township In Emails

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Officials in Lower Merion Township are warning residents of an email scam making the rounds.

According to officials, these scam emails appear as official township messages using DocuSign.

The emails ask targets to “Review Document” with the message, “Complete with Docusign: Township of Lower Merion.pdf.”

The DocuSign link opens a document with additional instructions to click on a suspicious link, which may either download or install malicious software, or direct the user to a fictitious website to get personal information.

Anyone receiving an email of this nature is encouraged to ignore or delete the email message and not click on any links.
