LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — An owl was safely rescued from a Lower Merion Township home recently.

Lower Merion Township Animal Control Officer Brian Devlin helped remove the owl from a township home on Friday.

The owl was released outdoors after being recovered from the home.

Officials said the owl got into the home through a chimney.

Residents are reminded to wildlife-proof their homes amid cold temperatures, as wildlife often searches for warm areas to shelter from the elements.
