Yeadon police were called to a subject barricaded in a home Wednesday morning.

Borough Police Chief Henry Giammarco said the incident involving a mental health episode happened about 8 a.m. on Fern Street.

Yeadon police were assisted by other departments, and the incident went on for about an hour before the subject was taken into custody, the chief said.

The woman was taken to a hospital for minor injuries, the chief added.

Giammarco said she was waiting arraignment later Wednesday on charges of making terroristic threats, resisting arrest and related offenses.

Giammarco thanked assisting departments Upper Darby, Darby, East Lansdowne and Sharon Hill.
